Umbilical Cord Stem Cell Injections (Wharton’s Jelly)

We offer umbilical cord–derived mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) injections sourced from Wharton’s Jelly, the connective tissue found within the umbilical cord.

• Source: umbilical cords donated after healthy births, ethically sourced with no risk to the donor.
• Contains: mesenchymal stem cells, growth factors, cytokines and extracellular matrix components.
• Intended use: a structural connective-tissue support material for foot and ankle applications.
• How it’s given: an injection in our office.

Liposana® (Adipose Tissue Allograft)

Liposana® is an adipose tissue allograft derived from donated fat tissue.

• Contains: structural extracellular matrix components, growth factors and signaling cells.
• Intended use: a structural cushioning and connective-tissue support material for foot and ankle applications.
• Physical properties: compression resistance, mechanical support and pliability, which derive from the extracellular matrix and lipid components of the donated adipose tissue.
• How it’s given: an injection in our office.

Stem Cell Injections vs. PRP

Many patients ask about platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

• PRP is prepared from your own blood and contains your platelets and the growth factors they carry. It does not contain stem cells.
• A UC-MSC injection comes from donated umbilical cord tissue and contains mesenchymal stem cells, growth factors, cytokines and extracellular matrix proteins.

Your Comfort

To help you stay calm and comfortable, we use a vibratory anesthesia device during your injection. Its gentle vibration helps dull the feeling of the needle. You can also squeeze a stress ball to help you relax.
